It has been well publicised that the Charity sector has been severely impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic with estimates of one in 10 UK charities facing bankruptcy.
So when we were asked by The Julia and Hans Rausing Trust to help them communicate and process the collection of applications for their Charity Survival Fund we were only to pleased to help.
The Charity Survival Fund was set up in response to Julia and Hans’ ongoing concern about Covid-19’s economic impact on charities. The £10m Fund will provide core funding to help charities, especially small and medium sized, to offset lost income in the current financial year.
How we helped
The Julia and Hans Rausing Trust website was updated to announce the launch of the Fund, give all relevant information in terms of eligibility criteria, guidelines for applicants, FAQs and a very detailed online application form was set-up to collect the relevant application data from eligible UK registered charities during the period 6-27 July.
Over 2,500 applications
When the Fund closed for applications on the 27 July over 2,500 applications had been received – the number of responses really laying bare the need for charities to be supported during these very difficult times.
A formal announcement of the charities who have been awarded funds is to be made in September. More information can be found here.
